Due to the world’s collective concern regarding the degradation of our planet’s atmosphere, and the increased concern for sustainability, Hong Kong celebrities, fashion designers and executives joined together to launch the second annual EcoChic Design Award. This contest aims to raise awareness about Hong Kong’s high textile waste rates, and to encourage waste reduction, as it is an effective way to improve the environment or to lessen the negative impact on the environment.
Global Warming affects us all. It is our responsibility to do what we can, to help to improve our environment. Reduce, Repair, Reuse, Recycle, Re-imagine.

Hulu and Hulu Plus premiered The Fashion Fund documentary series. The Fashion Fund, was launched by Vogue and the Council of Fashion Designers of America in 2003, to support emerging American designers. Designers such as Alexander Wang, Proenza Schouler, and Rodarte were discovered by the program and have aided in making this award the most influential and sought-after. The series follows the progress of the 10 finalists chosen out of 200 applicants. The winner will receive $300,000 as well as mentoring (the runners-up receive mentoring as well) from some of the fashion industry’s notable leaders.Tune in for a look at what it takes to make the cut.
